Mr Davies has 30 years of experience as a corrosion engineer working on projects on multiple continents with a wide variety of soil resistivity.  Mr. Davies replaces Dr. Howard Perko who unexpectedly resigned due to a potential conflict of interest.

In my years working at Magnum Piering, the issue of corrosion with respect to helical pile projects was an every week topic.  The most common question or dilemma was whether to apply corrosion protection via hot-dip galvanizing or epoxy powder coating, or to bid helical piles with a greater wall thickness.  Engineers grapple with this issue.  Installation contractors and helical pile manufacturers grapple with this issue.

I must say I was more than pleased when Mr. Davies responded with positive enthusiasm about the prospect of joining our Technical Advisory Team.  I believe many of our readers will agree that the topic of helical pile corrosion is one that comes up time and again, and Mr. Davies can certainly provide some valuable insight with his wealth of knowledge and experience.

I hope you will join me in welcoming Mr. Kevin Davies to the HelicalPileWorld.com Technical Advisory Team.  Click here to read Mr. Davies’ CV.

HPW regrets losing Dr. Perko from our team, and we certainly wish him the best.
